It's time for another round of Pick One! This week, we thought we'd take a look at the Xbox Game Pass library and pick out the five original Xbox games that are currently available via the service. Which is your favourite?
Remember, you can only pick one!
Let's take a look at what we're working with:
Black
Join the world’s most brutal and enigmatic strike force. The BLACK™ tactical squad operates under the cloak of complete anonymity and deniability to protect the U.S. from threats foreign and domestic. It answers to no one, allowing it to carry out covert operations around the globe.
Fuzion Frenzy
Fuzion Frenzy® combines the continuous, frenetic action of a futuristic street sport with the action-packed fun of mini-games set in a dynamic 3-D urban environment. Six arenas and more than 45 mini-games provide plenty of competitive fun for up to four players.
Grabbed By The Ghoulies (Rare Replay Version)
Take on the role of Cooper, a kid on a mission to rescue his girlfriend, who has been "grabbed by the ghoulies." Venture through haunted and ominous Ghoulhaven Hall and battle it out with a variety of monsters, while trying to escape the many tricks, traps, and shocks along the way.
Psychonauts
This classic action/adventure platformer from acclaimed developers Double Fine Productions follows the story of a young psychic named Razputin. In his quest to join the Psychonauts--an elite group of international psychic secret agents--he breaks into their secret training facility: Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp. But this is no average psychic summer camp!
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Your actions define your character, and your gameplay changes and evolves in response to your actions.
Let us know which of these original Xbox Game Pass games is your favourite below.

Psychonauts by a country mile.
Well it has to be Psychonauts as it's the only one out of those five that I've played thanks to Game Club. I've heard great things about Black though and I'm sure Morrowind is a great game as well.
I missed the Game Pass part of this and was feeling shocked/cross that Panzer Dragoon Orta wasn't an option. Then I actually used my eyes.
I know it's only five games, but you can't go wrong with any of these games. There's some 360 remasters of OG Xbox games in Game Pass too, like Fable. Surprised Conker isn't on Game Pass, but it was on Games with Gold.
Some absolute gems you can play with backwards compatibility in general, one of my favorite features as an old person with a decent Xbox game collection.
I wish there were more og games on game pass to be honest!!
I'm toying with getting an og Xbox next year tbh.
Went with Black but Psychonauts is a very close second. How is Fusion Frenzy scoring the same as Grabbed by the Ghoulies?!
Psychonauts because freaking psychonauts reasons. I loved Morrowind in the day, but man that thing has aged so poorly. Of ever a game needed a remake, it's Morrowind. Amazing game limited by its time.
Have blue point do it. They're amazing and very very vocally, suddenly, not part of Sony
Why hasn't Rallisport Challenge made it to the voting list! That game got me hooked to Xbox
@pip_muzz Is that a knock on Grabbed by Ghoulies or Fuzion Frenzy? Personally, I think Grabbed by Ghoulies is genuinely bad. I remember it really rocking my opinion of Rare as a developer, and honestly my faith hasn’t been restored by anything else they’ve done to this day. Fuzion Frenzy, on the other hand, was a fun if just ok party game.
Out of this list, I’d definitely pick Morrowind. Possibly the best Elder Scrolls game from a story perspective. You’ve got to go really old school and use pen and paper to take notes with it as you play, but it’s still such a fantastic game with so much depth and immersion, even if it shows it’s age. I don’t typically like the industry to be littered with remakes, honestly, but Morrowind is the game of all games that I feel deserves a proper remake.
Fable Anniversary is a remake of an OG Xbox game. It is worth a go on Game Pass.
This list may as well have been Morrowind, Morrowind, Morrowind or Morrowind for me.
I loved Grabbed by the Ghoulies when I played it on Xbox One for the first time. It's pure arcade fun at 60fps. The original version was SD 30fps.
@lostfields I haven’t thought about that game in ages. Loved it so much, one of the better racers.
Fusion Frenzy is so much more fun than it has any right to be. I would encourage everyone to try it with a video game competent person or two.
I went with Psychonauts. I literally bought into Gamepass in anticipation of the sequel.
@lostfields Rallisport Challenge isn’t even backwards compatible, let alone on GamePass. Wish it was!
Psychonauts!! Love Doublefine, and it's acquisition by Microsoft was a deciding factor in me choosing to go Xbox Series X this generation. Morrowind was also great and would be my second choice.
I have fond memories of Fuzion Frenzy as its one of the few Xbox games that i got my Mom to at least try out and she had some laughs with it.
Morrowind i played a lot with a friend back in the day, we'd simply take turns progressing through quests etc and had some fun with that
Barely played the other back in the day i'm afraid although still tempted by Psychonauts as i've gotten into platformers in recent years
If there was one OG Xbox game i would love to see be playable on newer consoles and come to GP it would be Phantom Crash - loved that game back in the day
@Meehanuk Don't think the OG Fable is available on Gamepass
If they added Advent Rising, then that would be my clear favorite.
I would like to play John Carpenter's The Thing again. I had a great time playing it on the OG Xbox.
